Soft Chicken & Avocado Quesadilla

A delicious and nutrient-packed meal featuring tender shredded chicken, creamy mashed avocado, and melted cheese inside a whole-wheat tortilla. Easy to hold and fun to eat.
Ingredients
- 0.25 cup Cooked Chicken Breast
- 0.5 piece Ripe Avocado
- 1 piece Whole-Wheat Tortilla
- 2 tablespoons Shredded Cheese
- 0.5 teaspoon Lime Juice
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Ensure the chicken breast is fully cooked and tender. Shred it finely or dice into very small pieces (approx. 0.5cm). Safety Step: Large chunks of meat can be a choking hazard; keeping them small and moist is key.
- Prepare the avocado: In a small bowl, mash the ripe avocado with a tiny squeeze of lime juice to prevent browning and add a hint of flavor.
- Place a whole-wheat tortilla on a clean surface. Spread the mashed avocado evenly over one half of the tortilla.
- Distribute the shredded chicken over the avocado layer, then sprinkle with the shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese.
- Fold the tortilla in half to cover the filling.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Add a tiny drop of olive oil if desired.
- Place the quesadilla in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is lightly golden but still soft enough to chew easily.
- Safety Step: Remove from heat and let it cool for at least 3-4 minutes. Melted cheese can be very hot and cause burns.
- Cut the quesadilla into small triangles or 'strips' (about 2-3cm wide) that are manageable for your toddler's grasp.
- Serve with a side of plain Greek yogurt for dipping if your toddler enjoys it.
