Whole-Wheat Honey & Cinnamon Crackers

Lightly sweet, warmly spiced crackers made with whole-wheat flour, honey, and a touch of cinnamon. These wholesome biscuits have a satisfying snap and pair wonderfully with fruit or nut butter.

Ingredients

  • 1.75 cups Whole-Wheat Flour
  • 0.25 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 0.33 cup Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Whole Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Using a mixer or by hand, cream the softened butter with the honey until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the vanilla and mix briefly.
  3. Add the flour, cinnamon, and baking soda (1 tsp). Mix on low speed until crumbly, then add milk one tablespoon at a time until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Shape the dough into a flat disc, wrap tightly, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 175 °C (350 °F). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  6. Roll the dough out between two sheets of baking paper to about 3 mm (1/8 inch) thickness.
  7. Cut into rectangles (about 5 × 7 cm) and prick each one with a fork.
  8. Bake for 14–16 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely on the tray — they crisp up as they cool.
  9. Safety note: These are crunchy — break into small pieces for younger toddlers and supervise closely.
