Three-Ingredient Yogurt Cheese Rolls

Pillowy soft bread rolls made with just three pantry staples. No yeast, no rising time, and ready in under 30 minutes. The Greek yogurt creates a tender crumb while the melted cheese adds a gentle savory flavour that toddlers adore.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Self-Rising Flour
  • 1 cup Full-Fat Greek Yogurt
  • 0.5 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Line a small loaf tin or baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour, Greek yogurt, and shredded cheese. Mix with a fork until a shaggy dough begins to form.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently for 2–3 minutes until smooth and uniform. If the dough feels sticky, chill it in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Roll each into a smooth ball and arrange them side by side in the prepared tin.
  5. Bake for 18–20 minutes until the tops are lightly golden and the rolls feel firm when tapped.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. Safety step: For younger toddlers, tear the rolls into small, soft pieces before serving. The interior should be fully cooked and not doughy.
