Smooth Oat Porridge with Pear

A comforting, easy-to-digest breakfast. The fiber in oats and pears supports healthy digestion, while the Vitamin C in the pear helps your baby absorb iron from the oats.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Rolled Oats
  • 0.5 piece Pear
  • 0.5 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Place the dry rolled oats in a blender or food processor and pulse until they become a fine powder (oat flour). This ensures a perfectly smooth texture.
  2. Wash, peel, and core the pear. Dice it into small pieces.
  3. Steam the pear pieces for about 8-10 minutes until they are very soft, then mash them into a smooth puree with a fork or blender.
  4. In a small saucepan, bring the water to a gentle boil.
  5. Whisk in the ground oats and reduce the heat to low. Stir continuously for 3-5 minutes until the porridge is thick and creamy.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the pear puree.
  7. Add a splash of breast milk or formula to reach your baby's preferred consistency and to add familiar flavor.
  8. Allow to cool and test the temperature before serving.
