Overnight Bircher Muesli with Berries

A refreshing, no-cook breakfast packed with fiber and probiotics. Oats are soaked overnight in milk and yogurt with grated apple, then topped with fresh berries for a burst of antioxidants.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Rolled Oats
  • 0.5 piece Apple
  • 2 tablespoons Greek Yogurt
  • 0.5 cup Whole Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Chia Seeds
  • 0.25 cup Mixed Berries
  • 0.25 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch Ground Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a medium glass jar or bowl, combine the rolled oats and chia seeds.
  2. Pour in the milk and fold in the Greek yogurt. Stir until well combined.
  3. Grate the apple using the fine side of a grater (leave the skin on for extra fiber, or peel if your toddler prefers a smoother texture). Add the grated apple and any juices to the oat mixture.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and ground cinnamon. Stir thoroughly.
  5. Cover the bowl or jar and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight. This allows the oats to soften completely.
  6. In the morning, check the consistency. If it's too thick, stir in an extra splash of milk.
  7. Safety Step: Wash the berries. If using blueberries or large raspberries, cut them into halves or quarters to prevent choking.
  8. Top the muesli with the fresh berries and serve chilled.
