Lamb & Sweet Root Vegetable Mash

A nourishing and hearty meal. The rich iron content of lamb is paired with sweet carrots and parsnips to create a balanced, easy-to-digest puree for growing babies.
Ingredients
- 50 grams Lean Lamb
- 1 medium Carrot
- 1 small Parsnip
- 1 teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Instructions
- Carefully trim any fat or gristle from the lamb and cut into very small cubes.
- Wash, peel, and dice the carrot and parsnip into small, even chunks.
- Place the lamb cubes in a small saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add the diced carrots and parsnips to the same pot. Continue to simmer for another 15 minutes or until the meat is very tender and the vegetables are soft.
- Transfer the lamb and vegetables to a blender, adding a few tablespoons of the cooking liquid.
- Add a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil.
- Blend on high until the texture is completely smooth. For 6-month-olds, it is highly recommended to press the puree through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any remaining meat fibers.
- Allow to cool completely and test the temperature before serving.
